The Richardson School is now accepting applications for an Instructional Aide at our West Allis campus! The Instructional Aides are responsible for providing direct care to students and those participating in camp, respite, and other programs. Assists students/program participants in meeting their educational, treatment, behavioral, and hygiene needs as identified.
The Richardson School provides a year-round schooling, as an option, for district for local districts to access for children with special needs. Typically, these children have been dually diagnosed with developmental or neurological disabilities and emotional, behavior or mental health disorders. Our students range in terms of intellectual disabilities, including those who are non-verbal. This includes children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome, pervasive developmental disorders, learning disabilities, neurological impairments, behavioral disorders, speech and language impairments, genetic disorders seizure and other neurological disabilities. Children with developmental disabilities, as well as multiple medical conditions, including sight or hearing impairments. Many elements are taken into careful consideration in terms how best to create an effective learning environment for our students.
